HRV
An HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilator) is a balanced mechanical ventilation system that exhausts stale indoor air and brings in fresh outdoor air through a heat exchanger that recovers most of the sensible heat from the outgoing stream. Modern HRVs recover 75-90% of sensible heat. HRV is the right ventilation choice in cold, dry climates where you want to keep heat indoors but do not need to recover moisture (which would over-humidify the space).
