Energy Star
Energy Star is a US Environmental Protection Agency program that certifies products and homes that exceed federal minimum efficiency standards. Energy Star Certified Homes meet specific envelope, equipment, and verified-testing requirements (including a blower-door test) and earn the home an Energy Star label. Energy Star ratings on appliances and windows make them easy to identify when shopping. Most Energy Star tiers sit between code minimum and Passive House.
